X-Treme marketing has failed again.

It looks like Maddox was right. "Take your X-treme marketing and shove it." »maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=xtreme_bullshit

In the marketing 'hype' it claims you must use a specific D-Link network card as well to experience the 'extreme' speeds. I wonder if the people who are experiencing the problems have wireless cards othere than what D-Link specifies?

Unfortunately, we didn't even have the extreme speeds until this firmware release. But, I think it's a pretty universal problem (among others) with this router.

I wrote DLink about the "new and improved" bios for the 624. Here is their lame response:

Date of Reply: 2/23/2004 5:29:45 PM

Products: DI-624_revC
Operating System: Windows XP Pro

The firmware was pulled off the website. Why? We were not informed on
when and why it was pulled off the website.

If you have questions regarding D-Link product specifications, product
implementation and compatibility or information about new D-Link
product releases, please contact our sales department for further assistance

Time, excluding major holidays.

Thank you for your interest in D-Link products.

This is hardly a valid response. So angry am I, that I am selling my DLINK and getting another brand. While I am not sure that QA is any better, but this response is totally inadequate and unprofessional. This is my first, and LAST Dlink product.
