Re: Speed increased?

It's not BS. TWC, Raleigh Division, is conducting a "comprehensive speed test." The cap has been raised from 3000/384 kbps to 6000/512 kbps.

The Cable Plant, here in Fayetteville and surrounding area, has been getting completely swept and balanced for the launch of "digital phone service."

Here's a link to a speed test i just did:

I would be happy with 512 up increase.

Ecstatic with 6000/512.

Anything to beat sbc? lol, since anyone can get this speed on RR, there will be a serious bandwidth issue!
But your just had an upgrade recently from 2/384 to 3/384? and now another one because of your crazy demand? I would be very jealous if all of ya gets your speed increased to 6/512 beating my sbc connection by 100k/sec on downloads!

I'm in fayetteville, NC at Ft Bragg and my speed is well above 6 mbit now. My upload speed also went up to 484k . This is very nice for only $40 a month!

That's not too shabby considering how saturated the nodes are on Ft Bragg. Here's a screenshot of a DOCSIS Diagnostic page showing the "upgrade" in hard numbers.

Curious to know What type of Cable Modem do you currently have? Or is that a program?

Thanks,

I use a SB5100. That's a screenshot of a DOCSIS diagnostic tool used to troubleshoot RR issues. The only thing that you can't see on that screenshot is information concerning the cable plant, which has been cropped out.

Mind providing a link to this certain tool so maybe I can download it?

Thanks,

I'd like to, however it can't be downloaded. It's a password protected website used to troubleshoot RR issues in NC. I cannot provide the username/password either or I would be scrounging my next meal from a Burger King dumpster

I thought you all would like to see what it looks like.

That wouldn't be even remotely possible. However, Time Warner does have very good pay with great benefits. Here's a link to current job openings in their engineering department(s). Should you get hired... you too will be given a nifty login/password to spend your weary days and nights trouble shooting cable modem issues

It's not a downloadable program. It's a password protected website.
