I've heard the contractors get a bonus for finishing early, and a fine for finishing late. So they've got plenty of incentive to get it done quickly. |

| reply to OmenQ Damn! They did that pretty fast. It took them literally 15 years to finish 75 south of 635 and I would think the High 5 was a lot more complex then that.
Remember those suicide onramps on 75 back then down by Fitzhugh and Knox-Henderson? They were 30 feet long and threw you into 2 lanes of traffic with concrete blocks for shoulders and everyone was going 70 miles per hour. If you had a 4 cylinder then you were road kill. Those were seriously dangerous and I don't know how there werent more wrecks. You would have to gun it and hope that the person coming up the highway was paying attention |

Unfortunately I do. 2006 can't come soon enough. That road is a mess when it's a good day out. Don't even ask about when it rains. -- A nerd is someone whose life revolves around computers and technology. A geek is someone whose life revolves around computers and technology, and likes it!! |

| Hey my boyfriend and I were having a little discussion this morning about the High 5. I heard that it was called "the high 5" because it was going to take about 5 yrs to be completed. He told me i was wrong that it would be AT LEAST another 7yrs to be done and over with. I believe he doesn't know what he's talking about but Can you please clear this up for us. THANKS nel!:p |
