Something as simple as an 8bit encryption with a password in the file title would frustrate this "listening" filter would it not? Or even zipping the mp3.
Damn, the lengths to which they will go to triple dead bolt that barn door never fails to amaze me. Get a damn clue and figure out how to create a $5 a month distribution system using the computer power of your customers (P2P) or go out of business. I've never seen such a hopelessly delusional bunch of jerk-offs as seem to populate the media industry. |

I think it was Napoleon who said to never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
I would think those who use P2P to trade files would be all for this new filter; it keeps the RIAA busy, and will be trivially easy to defeat. Not to mention that I don't think that copyrighted music sounds any different then public domain music; unless they only plan to filter out boy bands.
