| reply to in hoc signo Re: [Line Problem] IFITL in marietta, GA. dropouts?
I had been connecting without the router. However, I just tried connecting through the router, and it worked fine. Given my difficulties with the router over the last couple of days, I don't have much confidence that the connection will stay up. I will post again if/when I lose the connection. |

What kind of problems are you having? Is it only with your router, or do you also have problems when using a PPoE connection without the router? |

| reply to blackomegax I'm having IFITL problems in Norcross. I have a Linksys WRT54G, and I've upgraded the firmware, but I seem to having more connectivity problems lately. BellSouth hasn't been much help. Is there an alternate router that might solve the problem? Any suggestions? |

| reply to blackomegax I have IFITL and monitored my connection here on BBR during January. I noticed that I had brief disconnects (1 min), maybe once every two days or so. It seems reasonable given the "best effort" SLA for Res DSL.
Frankly, though, I endure similar short downtime issues at my work place LAN. |

also note im using a router (befsr41) with latest firmware, doubt thats a cause tho, as previous router's did the same thing) |

if this is standard practice to keep people from having the same IP day to day, thats pretty shady business |
