They have every thing to gain from not releasing the DSL
LINES.

AT&T has nothing to do with the LINES. They refuse to buy lease of lines and other NP contracts (that's why our lines were shut down so suddenly).
Moreover, NP had issued a "LOA letter" that officially releases all former Northpoint lines. So, I guess, TELCOs a they who feed us a stories that "lines are not released", not ATT or NP. Lines ARE released by Northpoint.

 Just heard this morning that AT&T was going to be getting into the local phone business in the Detroit area by leasing lines from Ameritech.

I look forward to the day when AT&T solicits me for DSL service. I'll be sure to tell the person not to take my comments personally.
