Anon | reply to Anon Verizon is the holdup
We too are former Northpoint/Verio customers, disconnected March 30. We are at 10 weeks and counting. Trying to get DSL through Sprint ION. If anyone from Verizon could tell the same story twice; I would drop dead of a heart attack. After 45 days, and several back and forth bounces from Verizon to Sprint Verizon decides that we do not have facilities. After Verizon lied to us about checking the lines at the pedestal/box (we know that did not happen, because we tied box & pedestal with light twine, left a pair of scissors and a note that Verizon tech should check the line, then knock on the door to discuss what was found)Verizon decided that we could have DSL with another phone number(this will result in a partial do-over at Sprint ION adding another 25 days to the already 9 week process) Verizon would be more than willing to put us on a new Verizon order at more than double the price and from what I've seen, half the bandwidth and service(a client that I put on Verizon is down half the time) and the same phonelines are OK when Verizon will be the ISP. I'm in on a lawsuit. Have filed a complaint with the PUC, followed by an email detailing the events Thursday with the unchecked phoneline. Has anyone actually made it all the way through the red-tape with a multiuser connection and more than one IP address, the ability to host your own website and mailserver for less than $200 per month? If so, with who? I'm listening!!! Disgusted near Dallas |
