Re: [Equipment] Pulver Internet Phone Patch testers > Re: [Equipment] Pulver Internet Phone Patch testers
RESPONSE: We must have missed this one and it is not only fully of incorrect information but is also misleading.
> Hi, I have been using the IIP for a few weeks now. Works much better then > the $49 PCphoneline.com version.
RESPONSE: Our product is actually $39 and has never been $49. Yes that right - only $39 !!!
That device would not hang up often after a > call and was only one directional.
RESPONSE: We do not know who wrote this comment and do not recognize him as a customer and are a bit skeptical . Our product works in both directions. If he was one of our customers it must have worked well enough not to submit a trouble report or return the product as we offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
I use it in Bali Indonesia to call from > my cellphone to my office and then hop to a SPA 2000 to call anywhere in the > world for 95% lower charges then my phonecompany. I also have set it to > forward call to my NY to my cell in Bali. Never had a problem. Voice quality > much better the PCphoneline (I guess for $200 that should be the case)
RESPONSE: Both products simply connect 2 x two wire connections together and pass the audio through. This amounts to a conference circuit and there will natually be a limited amount of volume loss on the connection. It is a natural telecoms phenomenon. Outside this issue, no product will work for all applications as the condition of the outside line plant (i.e. the wiring the telephone company has installed from the telephone exchange to your home or offhice) is never known and may be in poor condition or incorrectly engineered. In the case of the latter, the issue may in certain cases only be rectified by an onsite line engineer through the application of additional inline resistors, load coals and similar devices. That's the technical reality.

RESPONSE: We are confident that we have no less than 1000 times the number of units installed than the IPP in at least 20-30 times as many countries. Our product was originally developed against ITU specifications accepted worldwide and the latest release now supports Bellcore/Ansi busy tone detection. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee on our product. |
 | Big Billy, Serial number of device is 03072046. Shipping forth and back to Bali Indonesia is not possible for a $39 (ok?) product. The device would not hang-up properly around 25% of the time. Perhaps it was a faulty unit...
I do have something negative on Pulver's device. The port for line A came off from the circuit board. One of the two feet was broken and the other somewhat bend. Fortunately the pins are not soldered to the board, so I guess with some superglue the port can be reattached to the board.
