Re: Other isps that use ASI? You are correct. Your ATM packets are routed through our network to the ISP. They then get it to the "internet".
Whoo hoo!! (careful, don't step in it) In the Ameritech region, we (ASI) cannot process a ISP to ISP transfer. You must contact your current ISP, disconnect, then re-order on the new one. -- When you're on the bleeding edge, sometimes you get bled on! |

RanmaPremium join:2001-04-28 Houston, TX | Corona, Is it possible to order just the dsl line only from Ameritech, like you can with Swbell? That way if you have the dsl service, and your ISP goes caput or is horrible, you can switch to another ISP without cancelling. In the swbell region, you can order line only dsl with no ISP for $39.90. Then choose one of the partners on their list at »www.swbell.com. Let's vote to have this thread archived. good post. anonymous guy. |

Aw heck. Don't worry, I'm not killing the messenger; I appreciate you telling us. If I had known about this when I ordered, I would have gone through dls.net.
Would there be somebody in a position to make an exception to this? |
