Re: Updated Network Setup My computer area | Overview of entire desk area | My PC | Front view of my PC | TV, DVD & VHS player, digital cable receiver, home audio receiver & main speakers | Couches & surround sound speakers |
Now are some pics of my personal computer and my room setup. The TV is hooked up to my PC with Svideo and my receiver is also hooked into my sound card. I stream music and movies from the file server all the time! Movies look great on the TV and music sounds awesome. Picked up those JBLs with 15" woofers for $90! One of them vibrated a lot and all I had to do to fix it was drill some screws into the side to secure the speaker's casing. My personal PC has the following specs: P4 1.6Ghz, 1GB RAM, dual 30GB hard drives, 128mb PNY video card, Sound Blaster Live Audigy Plantinum, 52x CD-RW. It's a bit slow but works for me. I may upgrade it a bit this summer along with the network. Let me know what you guys think, it's always good to get feedback! Be sure to post speeds, lucky (insert bad word here).
This summer I am going to build a small file server for our house (6 guys here and I'm the only techie). So far we have wired the house through the attic, that worked out pretty well, but hopefully this summer we'll make it a little more neat =)
I love your rack, I need to learn about this stuf so I can make something like that. We have a closet that would work PERFECT =P
Thumbs up on the setup... but, your internet connection runs to four houses down the street? Did I read that right? How does that work? -- My Gallery (not BBR) | BBR Gallery Dime Sandro... Si... Si, Si... Que Rediculo! bhahahahahahahaha | |
