I have a couple of Oki printers hooked up to WPS54GU2 print servers, with printing generating from a remote server running Terminal Services. My problem is that the driver included with the print server will not install on the server because the server is at one end of a VPN tunnel and the print servers on the other, therefore on different LAN segments. I do not understand why the driver is incapable of finding a print server on a different segment, but the BI-Admin Utility can.
Because of this, I set up the printers using standard TCP/IP ports. However, the print jobs get corrupted half way through, possibly because of buffer overruns. I suspect that this is because the print server driver isn't there.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?
