Yes, I saw this in my search but ignored it because again it did not seem to be relevant. What I did try is a IE repair, which had no effect on the issue.

Is there a downside to doing this? Are there any "backup' measures I should perform before proceeding?

P.S. In the interim, after trying to write that folder to CD without the Favorites folder, I then tried to copy just the sub folder which appeared to be the "problem' folder in the copy process but it copied fine so that wasn't the issue.
