Nothing But Net service problems AGAIN?

What is up with this, 2 weeks of O.K. speeds(was worst than before actually.) And now I know myself am:
(a) having difficulties connecting, sometimes gotta wait a LONG time before it successfully connects.
(b) speeds down to a CRAWL.
(c) possible further port throttling?

I play alot of CS, and servers that I normally ping 50 on is hitting like 200-300 now. It is incredibly lag spiky too.

Is anyone else who is subscribed to NBN also experiencing difficulties of late? Maybe it is because I live in Ottawa... which is kinda far from where the base of operations of NBN is located(London,ON).

do a topic search for NBN...there are numerous threads in here about the very issues you are having...you aren't the only one.

trust me dude ur not the only one. they have stated april 8th they have an apointment with bell canada to fix some problems, I took me exactly 15 + to log on today. the speeds were horrible today it was crawling at times, and my pings the first four hops were high. reaching 300 at times. let's say what they have to say if the 8th date they have noted passes and it's still not fixed.

I am already waiting for a call back from bell on a contract deal for a lower price, if that goes through i am off i like realibility and problems that are fixed in good times, not to be given the run a round, blaming my router and modem etc, and then i find out more people have the same problem

Got IGS connected.. and I love the speed.. I mean.. WOAH!

Trust me.. get rid of your Nothing But Net troubles.. and just move to a new ISP... IGS for example, but not limited to just that...

Hmm. My speed is around 1.3 mbit today. Maybe my line couldn't be upgraded to 3, or maybe they haven't done it yet (but I doubt that).

Too bad, it would have been nice to have had 3mbit. Maybe the new router will help matters.

I've only called the Tech support of NBN some 20 odd times in the timespan of the past month... about half of those calls, no one picked up... coulda been worst, right?

@nutnbut.net

Port 80 speeds are normal on nothing but net but they are throttling every other port which makes downloading anything from usenet just unbearable.

I can't even play games online anymore because my ping is slow. One thing is for sure i am leaving nothing but net april 14th, they should rename themselfs nothing but problems.

The one thing i really feel bad about is I have gotten alot of people to join nothing but net, they use to be really good. I guess as bob dylan said "the times they are a changin"

They used to offer service through Golden.net when they were a wholesaler.
Did services improve or worsen when they moved to their own platform?

Greetings,

Now, someone invade their site and change their banner.

I emailed them the banner and told them about this entire issue. I don't know if they will even bother to read the email though; as was made quite apparent in the past month when I had already emailed them a few times. They just don't give a fvck about email support anymore it seems.

They know people are going to leave anyway... atleast those that are intelligent to go.. "wtf is up with my dl/login issue for the past month", and start researching on it over forums...

I would recommend you to IGS... but hey.. last recommendation I made to people went to hell.. *cough NBN cough*... so I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut this time...

If only NBN didn't had connection problems and wasn't throttling P2P speed they could be very good ISP(No hard cap + only $30/month).
Too bad is not like this anymore.
