Like when the phoneline dies... do to it being left off the hook.. the dsl still works.. It would be cool if they could imply that kind of idea. They probably wont be offering Just DSL for a couple of years.. maybe 1 or two. But no doubt they will be offering VOIP with it lol!

Conversely if a light short is present on your line that will cause an off hook condition. You will not be able to make or receive calls while the DSL may very well stay working.
