@cable.rogers | sean.. why would i want to do that?? and why do you still post in this forum??
and yes, i paid the $80 .. they are also giving a month free, so really you'd only be paying like $30. |

| Seans just upset he missed out on this . To deal with him ill say this: I also go the email and am 1 of the 100 (but i havnt reistered yet), but i did call to ask a few questions.
- You Must pay the $80 for the modem. - You get 1 month free (basically covers more then 1/2 the cost of the modem). - After the trail is up, you will keep the 5Meg profile at the regualr monthly price (44.95) no matter what happens. - 100% Unlimited bandwidth, no caps at all. - Asked in 3 different way (Are there caps? - Answer: "No." Download/upload restrictions - Answer: "None at all.", is the service unlimited? - Answer: "Yes, you may take full advantage of the speeds")
I will be calling again _hopefully_ with-in the next few minuts and registering myself. -- Visit my Site: Xtremeoc.tk |I don't know how to love. I just know how to live. All I feel is hate. Will you forgive me?

DAMN YOU!!! DAMN YOU ALL WITH YOUR STUPID DOCSIS MODEMS!!!!!!!! DAMNIT ALL TO HELL!!!!!!!
* Takes his terayon modem, and smashes it into the ground and watch it break up into hundreds of little peices*
Ok, I'm done being dramatic now! Ok, so, from the sounds of things this is going to be a free upgrade right? But since it says it requires a docsis modem, anyone know if theres going to be a modem swap process anytime soon? I want a 5mbps connection too!!
Well, I wonder if they will offer a trial for the non-docsis modems. I think we all know that it can handle at least 8mbps on the terayon system, (if those uncapped modems are true.) And if there is, I wonder if I will get to test that system.
Or maybe I should cancel and re-register again? Oh well, time will tell I guess! |

@cable.rogers
| If you have a non-docsis modem and are one of the elite 100, you have the option of having a tech swap the modem or going to a rogers video to swap it yourself (i think) ..
let me know how it goes for you Dark_Cobra |

| Ill sure keep you up to date kdirtwithpaydirt. I wont be registering till Sat since they closed and wont be open tomorrow.
This new service will be really fun, cant wait till i get it upgraded, my line quality has always been good; even when people on DOCSIS were having problems, mine staied fine, cant wait to see how it will preform;). -- Visit my Site: Xtremeoc.tk |I don't know how to love. @cable.rogers | Same here.. the service here is very consistent. My only concern is that I bought a webstar modem and from reading some of the threads here, it seems like it could become problematic.. thats ok though, they said it has a 1 year warranty |

Well thats good to know, I was thinkin the samething when i got off the phone earier w/o registering. I was wondering if you would have the option of swapping modems. The other thing i wanna find out is say in the furture you deside to switch to DSL or move out of a rogers area (to say prehaps Auora? *thinks 10/1 lines:D;)*) what happens to the modem? Can it be sold back to them, or do we gotta find someone ourselves to but it?. Ill make sure to ask that when i call in Saturday. (Ill try tomorrow, but i doubt they will be open.)
It didnt kick in on me bout the 1 month free thing and the modem only being 80. Ah well, another day on 3M wont kill me *i hope*. -- Visit my Site: Xtremeoc.tk |I don't know how to love. I just know how to live. All I feel is hate. Will you forgive me?

Aha! People with the 5 Mbps are on the same node with the peopl eont he 3 Mbps, so why do people on the 3 Mbps get kicked off, while the people on the 5 Mbps don't?
Also, no, I would NEVER go back to Rogers. I'm happy with my 2.6 Mbps as it is. But I'm looking forward to the 8 Mbps by January nexy year. Did I mention I'm looking forward to the 26 Mbps that I'll receive in the following year?
I really am happy with Bell. I mean who wouldn't be knowing that in 9 months you'll get 8 Mbps unlimited? |
