Currently, I am recieve speeds slower than that of typical 28.8 kbps modem with my NBN DSL connection.
I have tried every attempt in contacting them, but sadly, nothing works. It is as if Nothing But Net doesn't even exist anymore... -- What I used to be I no longer am... God, why can't you freeze time for my sake? |

Apparently, there are some pipe-issues with the GTA area in general.
I'm submitting a trouble ticket for this unacceptable slow-speed! -- What I used to be I no longer am... God, why can't you freeze time for my sake? |

Actually, they said that things would clear-up this evening.
My speed is actually improving as we speak... by some, not much... a messly 5 kbps...
Now I can feel how ppl felt when 28.8 kbps was upgraded to 33.6kbps |
|
 | all i gotta say is horrible. that is all. |
|
 | have u done a tracert ? it seems they changed something on the 2nd adn third hop, that is if ur using a router//// to some venture thing is that the new router? |

spthomasThe Swedish Chef join:2002-12-05 L7S6X1 | Well, I'm not sure exactly what they are doing with the router but my speedtests and downloads are NASTY, my current download from MS is at ~20kB/s! And my speedtest, well, its just ugly, hell my upstream looks better then my downstream!
Blah, time to try another restart of my router, see if that somehow fixes it.

 | reply to adam3 Yea the problem: NBN service is 99.99% CRAP now. Solution: Cut off your subscription with them, and find a ISP that is worth paying for. |
|
 | It is NOT hardware on the client side problem, it is a problem with the NBN entire operations in general. No matter how much you fiddle with your router, it isn't going to fix anything when the connection on THEIR end is the side that is **** right now. |
|
 | I used to be with NBN. These guys are either extremely unlucky or incompetent. Six months of service with them and every dang excuse under the sun why their service wasn't stable. Bad phone support, bad email support..bad bad bad. They forget the "S" in ISP stands for "Service"
Switched to istop a few months ago. Happy camper now. (surprised at the recent slam).
Still trying to get money back from NBN... wish me luck. |

jaleco join:2003-12-26 Montreal, QC | reply to adam3 you are not the only one who has this problem. I am with CUIC, I live in Montreal. ADSL speed is super slow tonight. I did speedtest, I got 8k/s. Usually I can get 125k/sec. |
|
 1 edit | oops, double post. |
|
 | reply to jaleco I just did a speedtest, and I got a bit better speed than I was getting yesterday... (which was 74 kbps downstream.)
Your download speed : 240352 bps, or 234 kbps; A 29.3 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 157010 bps, or 153 kbps. |

Seems like its on NBN side, Im sure they are working on it as we speak.... -- Computer: AMD AthlonXP 2100, 1GB of pc 2700 DDRram, Maxtor 80gb 7200rpm Hard Drive, GF3 64mb, SB Audigy Platinum, 19" Samsung SyncMaster 900nf, Logitech 5-60 THX Speakers, Windows Xp Pro, "Nothing But Net" DSL Service! |
|
 | Don't worry, NBN is always working on the problem! That is what we pay them for, to work on problems, even if the problems are never really resolved! That is cuz if there are no problems, it would just be foolish to continue to pay them for their sublime services!
NBN is always thinking for their own future, what more could a consumer ask?! |
|
 | i dont care what we pay, i think we all deserve some sort of credit, IF You want to own a company then dam straight meet the consumers needs and wants.
i am crawling here i bet dial up is faster! |
