I'm sure you could get a statement of your ISP bills going back to your old ISP through your credit card, etc. Since you can't have two ISPs providing service over the same phone line, you obviously don't owe the money. I'd send them a certified drop dead letter detailing in polite terms how they're mistaken in their attempt to collect a bill for service that never existed. I'd also mention that they should be very certain that your credit hasn't gotten dinged (it probably already has) because you'd have a lawsuit that would have attorneys drooling to collect on. -- "No matter how I struggle and strive, I'll never get out of here alive". Can you expound a bit? I don't think I was credit card at the time.
