@adsl.bellatlanti

Just wait..

You feel that way now, give it a little while and you will join the rest of us

they just made some room for you on the network by disconnecting some other loyal customers.. I'm convinced that's how they do business,

"jim, this guys been on static for 2 years now, let's just cut his connection to make room for newbies"

ok click..

you'll see........

I gotta agree with that. Believe me they'll drop you in a heartbeat if they have a higher priced customer waiting for service (i.e. $89.95 or $189.95 /month). A friend called to check availability for $39.95/month and they said it wasn't available. So as a test he changed his order to Professional service ($189.95/month), all of the sudden it was available in an area that was supposed to be maxxed out. Coincidence, I think not. Verizon is about one thing....PROFITS!

????????????

"I will say this, verizon DSL didnt give me problems as most people are and still having, i was one of the lucky ones."

Your stars do not match your comments. Sorry that you cannot get DSL where you moved but don't join the band wagon and put Verizon down because others have had problems.
I for one have had no problems with them and enjoy their service here in Norfolk Va. I am happy that you are enjoying your new service with cable. However one star in each area is not a review of their service and is nothing more then a chance to lash out at Verizon. If I ever change to cable I will give Verizon a final review however I will be honest and give them what I think, not what others have said. No plans on moving or switching to cable. If it is not broken I am not going to try to fix it. If Verizon ever gives me problems I will switch. Good luck with your new service.

Well, here in New York (I'm from Hicksville in Nassau County on Long Island) Verizon sucks.

gunner: kudo's on your post. I also heard quite a few nasty postings about Verizon but went in with a open mind bearing in mind what others have said about their service and support. I've been using Verizon a little over a month now and I have nothing but praise for Verizon. Keep in mind I suspect many of the malcontents are those who have less than a working knowledge other than inserting the install cdrom and looking for "setup.exe" to accomplish their goal. It's when "setup.exe" bellies up they are exposed to Verizon's support. My advice is if you have prior experience performing mid-level troubleshooting/debugging and tweeking of the tcp/ip settings you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of Verizon's DSL. Paying $39.95 for broadband is as cheap as you will get and it's a steal considering Verizon provides the modem and free web cam. I was lucky to get on board at $39.95 but I hear it's now bumped up to $49.95. These are just my thoughts!

Re: ????????????

obviously $39.95 is not the cheapest broadband you will get if ool has it for $29.95. i have verizon and for the most part it's ok, but it's the little hangups that bother you. once in awhile you get caught in "limbo". you know, when those 2 little t.v.'s in the corner of your monitor stop flashing. if you ever do have trouble, good luck! it took a month to get my service up and running again and they still don't know why. ool is coming to my town soon, and i'm sure alot of verizon people will be ordering it up.

Got Verizon, Take the whole asprin bottle!

Verizon Dsl service is the worst. Let's Start with the turn up which was scheduled for Friday at 6:00pm and wasn't completed until the following Monday at 7:00pm and that was after a 3 month wait for them schedule the turn up within there offices. Then there's the constant two hour minimal wait on phone to speak to a one of what seems like three tech's who's knowledge could fill a thimble. Follow all that with no static ip's constant downtime their going to make a customer go postal on them soon. Now let's talk about the crappy software and documentation provided. The software can only be one machine. Any attempt loaded to another machine creates a new account with verizon. So I now am being billed for three accounts when I only have one and it's taken them over four months to refund me for the other two faulty accounts. Please STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON!

I for one am glad I did not stay away. I enjoy the service I am getting. Do you see me on here saying go Verizon? Because I am old enough to know that not everyone will have the good luck with them that I do..........and I know not everyone will have the bad luck that you have. Like anything else in life it is a gamble. I wish that DSLR could track these posts to see how many come from the same PC just under a different name? Not every area is the same, not every company is the same.

Regarding the 3 accounts

When you reinstall the winpoet software don't keep re-registering the account you dope! Just download the software and when the window for registering the account come back up then close the window. Why oh why did you keep re-registering the account thats why you got three seperate bills. Man most of the time people on this site got at least a point to disagree on but come on this is obviously and id10t error in this case.

Re: Got Verizon, Take the whole asprin bottle!

Well, I had Verizon. It wasn't that bad. However, it could use a lot of improvement. I am now on Road Runner but if I had a business, I would probably get Verizon Biz Class DSL. The Home DSL needs help at least from my experience with it.

Re: Got Verizon, Take the whole asprin bottle!

I love how only the messages that put down the stupidity of the end users are deleted and the mean, harsh and hatefull comments about the companies who provide the services are left up for everyone to read.

Now I can see why so much misdirected anger towards these companies exists.
