DSL vs Cable

I use DSL at work, cable at home. Cable seems far superior. Why did you opt for DSL? We have severe email problems with Verizon DSL - do you have them with Fastnet?
(Problem is Verizon will only handle mail with a return address of ***@verizon.net This is not the my email address which tens of thousands already have!!)
