| Re: Covad tech not installing NIC??????? I have edited the section on the NIC card installation to clarify How my NIC was installed. For some reason Juno does not want the tech to touch the customer's computer. I made sure to add this clarfication to my review. This issue was not a prblem for me since NICs are inexpensive and easy to install. I was very pleased about the Covad installation. | |

| Juno prefers not to have to support the network card, or anything regarding networking of the DSL service at all. Thus, if support is needed, the help would come from the OEM of the card/hub/other networking device, and you get the better results in the end, having spoken with a company that handles what your computer has installed in it and not a DSL trained tech who might not be highly familiar with your drivers or configuration. And as Jeff says, its inexpensive, and you get what brand you want in your computer. NICs are almost as common as modems in newer computers. And no, there is no USB modem at all. I have no idea why its on the website, and will make note to mention it. Thanks. | |
