| Keyway Excellence FADES Away! I signed up with Keyway four months ago. The service has been outstanding for the most part. However, this last month has not been very good. Keyway connection is extremely slow from 4p.m until as late as 8 p.m. My download speed comes down as low as 7k and no faster than 30k. I am very upset. I have emailed the technician a couple of times. I have not received a response.
I believe Keyway is running out of bandwidth. I do not understand why it is so slow from a certain time of the day.
Anyways, I no longer recommend Keyway. I believe Keyway does not have the bandwidth to handle all their DSL users.

| Re: Keyway Excellence FADES Away! The connection is normal from about 8p.m until noon. It is bad from 4p.m to 8p.m. This is so weird. I am starting to think Keyway might capping my bandwidth. I am not sure. The speed acts very similar to how @Home users describe it. If that is true, than Keyway runs out of bandwidth. The interesting part is the speed would suddenly become fast. There is not gradual change. It is an immediate change as though the network administrator turns on a "backup" bandwidth generator.

| Verizon is THE Problem! Keyway's network administrator contacted me via email and believe Verizon router was congested and suggested that I reset the modem. At approximately 9 p.m PST, my lost internet connection. I tried resetting the modem. It it did work. I called up Verizon. Verizon technician reset the modem at their end.
Between Keyway and Verizon, I am completely confused as far as who is experiencing a server congestion. I back Keyway mainly because my friend had been using Keyway and the service is still excellent.

| It's Official: Keyway SUCKS! Overload! Keyway was fast the first week; however, everything went downhill afterward. They overload their routers. They handle more users than their bandwidth can handle. The average speed I experience was no faster than 30k every single day.
DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT subscribe with keyway. Their sales rep. are nice and informative, but that is all keyway is good for. They cannot walk the walk. I spoke with the tech, brian, many times. Each time I spoke with him, he blamed Verizon. I have access to more than one keyway dsl accounts. None of the connections is faster than 30k. Brian has the audacity to say, "you're downloading something big." He basically complained about what I was downloading. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

The sales staff is friendly and knowlegeable and the tech guys are top notch. If there is a weak link anywhere, I would say that it is the dim wits at GTE (now verizon). If you want an ISP that cares that you are their customer, you want Keyway. If you want to be a faceless number choose Verizon or Earthlink. KEYWAY ROCKS! | |

join:2000-08-06 Yucaipa, CA | Not been my experience at all And I've been a Keyway user for three years now. If there was congestion, I'd have experienced it.
Dunno what the problem was to these users, but my experience has been the opposite.
Keyway is highly recommened by me.

| Keyway Rocks Been a Keyway subscriber for more than 5 years. Only 2 outages in 5 years... both were virus related (and one took down much of the internet -- so I'm not even sure Keyway was affected -- merely the communication between me & them).
Regardless, just stopped DSLreports to check prices... nothing competitive compared to what I've got with Keyway -- solid system -- so I can't even rave about the service -- had no reason to call. (though when I have -- it has always been a live person -- didn't realize other ISP's don't offer human support). | |
