post bazillion

I had bazillion myself and I thought they were pretty good compare to what I have (speakeasy) After bazillion went bankrupted, I got connected with covad but since they don't have static ip address they told me to go with speakeasy. They suck compare to bazillion. I think bazillion's speed was much faster then speakeasy's. Also they have bunch of fees bull shit that I'm ending up paying much more. Good thing you went with Covad instead. As for me I'm thinking of switching again.

Re: post bazillion

I also had Bazillion but had IDSL because of my distance from CO. I went with Covad's Safety Net as Covad did my install anyway for Bazillion. I called on 01/15/2001 and it was up 01/19-20/2001. It cost' me $65. instead of $50. with no long distance of course. I was not happy with PPPoE from all I have read here about it but so far no problems at all, and speed much more consistent, also faster. Almost all speeds above 130 and I pay for 144. I set up the EnterNet so it signs on auto. and also reconnects if connection lost so almost like it was before. Now if I can figure out my Monitoring problem which has nothing to do with change.

You can probably kiss your install rebate goodby

The fact that Bazillion has gone bankrupt greatly reduces your chances of getting your install rebate. In a bankruptcy procedure secured creditors come first. You would not be classified as a secured creditor.

It is very unlikely that ANY checks will be cut. The court appointed auditors will NOT cut any checks without court approval. No longer are Bazillion personnel handling the coporate finances. Only under the direct supervision of the courts can they cut checks.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for my rebate check. If you paid by credit card you might be able to dispute the charges with your credit card company and ask for a "Charge Back".

Good luck.

Re: You can probably kiss your install rebate goodby

I received my $198 Covad rebate about 2 months after I was hooked up with Bazillion, so don't worry there still is hope.

@covad.net
My install rebate check came directly from Covad and not from Bazillion. Perhaps contacting Covad would be a good idea?

I also got my $198 install rebate directly from Covad. Email Covad's customer service and they will let you know when to expect it.

I did not think I would get my rebate, but yesterday I did, from Covad.
