That's ironic...

Because the 101 freeway is the worst place to be during rush hour and to be avoided whenever possible.

GTE is light years ahead of PacBell in Technology

That is great and i am happy for you! I sit here in awe of the speeds i see on the "scoreboard" and pacbell and sbc don't have their records synchroed no body knows what or when anyone else is doing. I ordered the basic DSL and there was little problem with install and servie except the DSL reports line speed was only 167 of a promised 384. This has been consistent only at wee hours of the morning do I ever see anything over 200, some times as slow as 70 upload.

I ordered the 1.5 meg DSL "enhanced" and the routine is we are working on it. Give us 24 hours. we have a trouble ticket issued. I ordered the upgrade 2 weeks ago with a delivery of 20 FEB 01. Still no service and Yesterday one Rep told me that I was too far from the station to even get DSL! Well honey I am on line and it does work. BUNGLERS AND BUNGLIING IS ALL THAT IS GOING ON WITH MY ORDER. I have seen some phenominal speeds posted here at DSL reports and i want some of that. I am moving to where ever i can get it!
If any body likes how DSL reports set up their web page editor, this is point click templet technology and you can buy a website that is up and on in 15 minutes for 150 three for 450. xl.evisionbiz.com This is what i do with my connection. Sell websites.You can do the same

stetty, i got the basic service and here is my speed test look like this morning

Test running..Downloaded 60900bytes in 561ms
Downloaded 696000bytes in 5181ms
First guess is 1074kbps
fairly fast line - now test 2mb
Downloaded 1679100bytes in 11486ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 101ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 110ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 110ms
Upload got ok 50000 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 50000bytes in 3855ms
Upload got ok 100000 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 100000bytes in 7611ms

** Speed 1169(down)/106(up) kbps **
(At least 23 times faster than a 56k modem)
Logging result
Finish.

my ping time do suck for lsat couple weeks (3~400ms) and caused my friends to scorn me whenever we were playing UT, but since tuesday my ping time had been 100ms consistantly, maybe you might want to tweak a bit your windoze setting.
