| everything is verizon's fault i had verizon/bell atlantic for 1 1/2 years. all was well, until verizon cancelled my account "accidently". when i asked for it back, they said i couldn't have my static line back, and i'd have to switch to pppoe. after 3 months of fighting, i gave up, and switched to firstgate. i've had a fabulous experience with them, especially after verizon. dealing with verizon is a nightmare for everyone. i was on the phone during a verizon/firstgate call, and the verizon people don't treat clecs any better than their customers. meanwhile, it only took a few days to get it working in the beginning, which through verizon is a miracle, and i've had only a few hour verizon-related outages since |
