| Re: JUST CURIOUS Start by doing a tweak test. And do a tweak test for the forum I'm about to list. Make sure to put your quoted line speed down, your OS, and if you're connected by ethernet or not.
Then copy and paste the URL and go to the Tweaking forum. This is where you can get help tweaking your connection to the best you can get it. Go download DrTCP.
Download drtcp if you don't have it already. Listen to what the tweaking forum says, and don't download patches from other websites... Also you can read the tweaking information here to help you.
BTW, after making changes to your registry, make sure to reboot the computer and do another speed test here. Welcome to DSLR, Nakedape! -- Windows just crashed, do you want to throw it out the window or continue? Y/N?

| Capped at 384? Me 2, until I complained; DSL here
I was capped as well, until I called DirectDSL tech support and complained; I was told they would request the cap be removed, since "they" were paying SWBell for line access which based on my distance from the local office, supported 1.5/128. Since complaining, I'm averaging around 980/78, which isn't as fast as CoxHSI; but, that's not the point. It's up to SWBell to get their butt out their and remove the cap, if you're line supports higher that 384/128, which is what I was averaging for over a year. Just a thought. I'm in 74112 as well.

| Cox/AtHome vs SBCDSL At the time, my line didn't support anything over 384. My point was that I had DSL as a stop-gap during the period in which Cox Cable was doing the digital rebuild. As soon as they offered it in my area, I jumped at it.
Also, numerous bunglings of my billing contributed to me wanting to leave.
I'd update this review, but I can't change the ISP from @Home to Cox..at least nowhere that I can see it to be done.
