| must be nice lol damn must be nice to get connections like that, i was probally one of the first people inm town with dsl from good ol centurytel, and well hmm 1. i'm on my 4th westel pile-o-poop 2. get dropped for no reason, and usually at the worst times (of course alwasy is huh lol, like in the middle of the all important online game or huge download of the latest microsoft windows patch lol) 3. tech support well when i have had to call them, they havent been too helpful in fact usually down right rude, so when i actually do want real support i use thier live chat support.. least those guys have been more of a help than the ones sitting in their call center. 4. just wait till the hollidays, if you havent already experienced that little wonder with them yiou soon will.. usally at like 6pm (of course right after they have all gone for the week) the service goes belly up and doesnt comeback up till 9am or so the day after the holliday week/weekend
BUT the pisser is there is nothing else worth a damn in this town for isp's have tried all of them and centurytel is suprisingly enough the best this town has to offer.. damn it were's at&t broadband when ya want it?? lol so well i'm stuck with them lol | |

| Peak service through centurytel
I just switched from centurytel to peak.org as my provider of dsl in lebanon. faster speeds, much lower latency. For all you non gamers, my ping to portland servers when trying to game went from 150 to 60. lower is better, and 60 is much better than 150. makes a huge difference when gaming. I have never lost connection in 3 months, I hold my IP address as long as i want to, and the tech support is better. I am not sure if you can call Centurytel's service a techsupport probably better to call it techunsupport.
went from 540 to 650 k
much better. | |

| Only option I live in a small town of about 2,000 people and we got 3 options for broadband that isnt slow satellite. They follow as Charter cable, Centurytel DSL, and Subnet Wireless (which is 39.00$ a month for 450/450 but i cant get it trees....) but i am the max distance away for Centurytel DSL so I am getting about 210 upload 400 download not bad...for my distance, but we are working on getting it up. But depending on the game I usually get under 100 ping down to about 60.. I can host 2 Xbox's online and get about 50kbps download speed | |

| I was hoping your modem switch would have worked Lebanon is 10 times more rural then Vaughn, but looks like your getting better service. Any ways, not sure, but it seems the more I call the worse my service gets. I too get the everything ok on our end answer, I did the process of eliminations at my end, only thing left to check is the modem, and they say they really doubt it is the modem, and that they have NEVER had problems with their modems, but if it is true that they have no problems on their end, and my comp, and new comp is okay, which leaves the modem. I doubt they(Centurytel) will actually try and make things better. They got your $$, and that seems to be all they wanted, your addicted to the higher speeds, they gave it to you, now they have you hooked, they leave town and find new victims. Well it sure feels that way to me that is. I was hoping to have read at the end that when you went to the next generation of modem that, that solved your problem, cuz it may have been mine . . now I am having my doubts . . I would say it is at their office, but that is only because their consistently of no problems with the line is only the days they come out and a couple days after. Okay I have had my 3rd drop today just while I was writing this . . a few months ago I was dealing with slow speeds . . no drops, never called, now that I am calling, the drops happen more . . . I am sure their records would show this, my calls . . then more drops, no calls no drops just slower speeds -- I am Not There I do Not Sleep | |

| Not many options Have dial-up, Satellite or Centurytel Dsl available.Satellite is to me not an option with high price and FAP so when dsl got available in March 2005 i went for it.Have a very stable 1500/256(never see any higher what techs say) and tests give me 1400+/250+ so i say thats good enough for me | |

| Just a note... Mike,
Just so you know, we do value your input, and if there are changes needed within Customer Service, it will be addressed. If you wouldn't mind sending me an IM with some additional information if possible maybe we can get something resolved here concerning any particular issues you may have experienced during any calls you have made to our contact centers.
Also, how are those speeds looking up? Any improvements come about that we were looking forward to?
