| Got it in Centerville as well.
I live just near the Centerville Bellbrook line and I called T-W yesterday and they said they had just turned on my node and would be out to install Roadrunner Wed (28 Nov 01) between 1 and 5. Give them a call and check it out I think you maybe be "live" now...
Good Luck!

| I am right off of Wilmington Pike in Bellbrok. I got an ad in the mail today and called them up right away. They are trying to tack an extra $5.00 per month on my price, despite the ad that I got that says $44.99 a month (They claim that it is because I don't have actual cable TV service.) Watch out. After I get the first bill, I am surely going to call them about it. Anyway. They are coming out next week. I am psyched. It's about time. | |

| Dude, get your info straight...
Megabytes and kilobytes are very different. If you download 1.5-2.0 kbps, then you are slower than 56k dialup modem. I think you meant 1.5-2.0 Megabytes. 8 bits = 1 byte, 1024 bytes = 1 megabyte. -- "What?" - WWF's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

@24.209.x.x | Centerville RR I got roadrunner a few weeks ago. Sadly, TW capped the download at 2 megabits per second or 250 kilobytes per second. And i think upload is capped at 80 kilobytes per second. I'm assuming uncapping it would be against the terms of service?

| Texas RR Here in texas download speed is uncapped, apparently 3 mbit is the best you're going to get. I peak at about 250 downloading compressed files. Upload is CAPPED at 384 k a second, which translates for me around 40K/s max. BTW, upload MUST be capped, because otherwise you'd need an amplifier as big as your computer to upload any bigger. | |

| RR never works I have had RR for about 6 months now and it still has never worked correctly. I have been through 3 cable modems and they all seem to "burn out" they installed a new line straight from my computer to the box, and replaced the inside wire twice. the modem always flashes the send light and the tech that came a few days ago said it meant a reverse problem and something was wrong with the main line that comes into my neighborhood. so he left and left me with no internet. so i call again the next day because no one showed up to check the main line and they sent another tech out who rigged my cable modem to pick up the screwed up signal the main line was giving me; and they still havent sent someone out to fix the main line, so i will have internet for about an hour and then the cable modem will reset and come back up like a couple hours later. its really frustraiting and they keep giving me free service, but it doesn't really matter because i never have service anyway. | |
