| $600 bill ! #@ I woulndn't give them one red cent. I called the investors hotline and asked what is being done to raise the stock price of Ardent and was put on hold for 4 hours. I washed my car, went to Ruby Tuesdays and came back and was still on hold.
Nuff said. | |

| CAIS Stock to be delisted off the stock market ARDT now has E at end of symbol. Cais will now become a "pink sheet" stock with no buying and selling; from $50 to 1 penny, Cais conned Microsoft, Cisco, KKR and thousands of investors. I think an Enron type Justice Department probe should be initiated against Auger and company.

| CAIS/Ardent Comm is no longer
My office was getting SDSL via CAIS, then via Ardent, then nothing. Without any pre-notice we got an e-mail two weeks ago asking us to update our profile to complete the transition to Network Access Services NAS. I couldn't wait to cancel my annual commitment (ended 15 Sept) and NOT transition. I immediately returned the Netopia router and filled out the termination form as instructed.
Today, I get a past-due notice from CAIS/Ardent over $1285.00 after having no communication since July. Since day one we had billing problems with CAIS billing service which appeared unsurmountable. Trying to cancel my annual commitment on time (then still CAIS) was impossible - no one would respond via e-mail or via phone.
When I called the listed phone number on the past-due I get a recording to pay up quickly or a collection agency will be chasing after me, and to send the check to an address that doesn't even match the address of the past-due. These folks don't seem to be able to settle in one place. I have to wait a day to respond to the past due notice in order to stop screaming.
I'm in DC, and cannot be sure who else would pick up CAIS/Ardent customers in other areas.

| I too have received the threats of a collection agency chasing after me if I don't pay up - some $1000 plus dollars they are asking for. Funny thing is, I cancelled my DSL contract with them back in July.
Now a new twist is me receiving bills for service for NAS. HAHAHA; what exactly does NAS think they are billing me for. No DSL = no payment. This seems simple enough to me.
To anyone at ardent/CAIS reading this - GET A CLUE YOU LOOSERS!

| Yeah. I just got a $2000+ bill for service that I cancelled long ago. You might notice that billing has their phone busied out, and you can only talk to the answering machine. Do what I did - talk to sales. If you don't get anywhere with them, you can at least draw amusement from the latest group of CAIS hirelings straight off of the short bus. If you're clever about it you can probably even get the Big U's number from them. The most amusing thing about this is the number on the bill that is an answering machine that says "pay up." It's a hoot. | |

@securityminded.net
| Here is another funny one - send an email to the address listed on the bill 'dslbillingdisputes@ardentcomm.com' and you get the amusing auto-reply back about 2 minutes later:
Dear DSL Customer,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your DSL bill. According to our records, your account is seriously past due. Please remit all undisputed amounts to our attention immediately at the address below. For any billing disputes, please send an email to dslbillingdisputes@ardentcomm.com and provide us with the reason and itemized detail of the dispute. Please note that if you have been receiving service, disputing the entire amount of your bill is not permissible.
If we do not receive payment and/or a response from you by January 2, 2002, your account will be turned over to a collection agency for further action.
REMITTANCE ADDRESS:
DSL Accounts Receivable Ardent Communications 6861 Elm Street (3rd Floor) Mclean, VA 22101
