| DirecTv is the BOMDIGIDY!
It did take them a while to get me my gateway.....3 and a half weeks to be exact! But once it was delivered we were up and running at break-neck speeds in no time! We already had Bellsouth's DSL but decided to make a switch after the modem they provided (3com)did not support Windows XP. Bellsouth said they had another modem that would work but would be an additional $125.00 to upgrade! But I have to admit they were willing to break that down in 3 monthly installments. I saw a commercial for DirecTv DSL, you know the one..."you have reached the end of the internet..." I gave them a call and they had a killer deal, 2 months free and a free modem, all I had to do was sign away my life to them for a year! Since I got this new modem from DTV, it's like the grass is greener , the sky is blue-er, the koolaid is sweeter, and my car starts in the morning! I am not saying that DTV did it all....but they tried! It's still on Bellsouth's line but I swear I am going a lot faster, faster downloads and uploads. With bellsouth I was getting 947/185 average never above 1000....but now, just today, I got 1423/208 with DirecTv! I have been dreading the billing problems everyone has been bitching about....but I guess I am one of the few to luck out and be billed correctly!!!! I did however tried calling tech support to ask why Xp asks for my wife to reinstall DirecTv's software when she logs in...but she is connected! I stayed on hold for about 45 minutes noone answered so we decided to just live with it and hung up! I mean...the internet works...it's just that everyime she signs in for the first time it gives her the error messege! All in all- we like it and we send praises to DTV for a job well done......!!!!!! |
