dsl inquiry

I am interested in DSL but I am some pass the 18,000 feet from the central office in Tullahoma. I am on charter cable now and have been for about 3 years. It recently went up from $40 to $50. Bellsouth told me my bill would be $45 if it was available in my location...lol.

Do you still like DSL and what is your download/upload?

AT&T (aka Bellsouth before assimilation))

Very poor here recently. Paying for 6.0 mbps, receiving 768 kbps to 1.5mbps. Checked my account to make sure they had not lowered my speed ( I recently dropped local phone service). The account still shows 6.0 but getting way less. Checked many router locations. Wondering if they are throttling since I dropped local service? Naahh, that would be unethical. Inauguration? MLK day? Nah.. Hey maybe they are throttling.....
