| Sympatico a.k.a. scam artists Sympatico is a very good choice for broadband internet, good speeds. But their customer service isn't something i would brag about. They say the internet service is 44$ a month, somehow i keep ending up having the numbers 87$ show up on my bill. i call them about it and they say its a one time fee, so i think, fine. the same thing happens a couple of months later so i call them again, what do they say? one time fees. and they charged me 147$ one time, that was it for me, i called them to ask about why the price was so high, they told me something must of went wrong and said i didnt have to pay that bill. next months bill says that i had missed a bill. in the end i payed up that 147$ ... damn those scammers | |

Oh come on! I work at Sympatico man and I can ASSURE YOU that this High Speed Internet Service is REALLY shit!!! You can have 3 times faster speed that what you got for the SAME amount at VIDEOTRON man.... I have my high speed at videotron just because I know I pay same but have 3 times faster service than DSL and I can tell you SYMPATICO has only one idea: become the ONLY WORLDWIDE PROVIDER even if they offer VER VERY MID QUALITY SERVICE.
Biased to cable? I think so...

| You'll learn It'll first start when you find out you have to pay to rent a sympatico modem even if you're using your own. Then you'll find out far worst things like traffic shaping, speed throttling, minuscule caps, overcharges, non-existent service desk that works only the hours most people are at work. There's many, many others but you'll learn. You'll still just green. | |

St John'S, NL | I agree I don't know about Bell internet but Aliant internet is generally reliable, fast and pricing is relative to other ISPs in Newfoundland. It's a step up from Rogers, even if the speeds are slightly lower. | |
