| Even with the so-called restrictions I'd take it in a second. There have been NO claims that people have been capped for normal usage, not have there been any claims of complains for playing online games. People who are getting capped are people running servers who show a pattern of persistent UL's. Even then if you want to run a server you can get their business class service which have had no claims of caps for still a reasonable price. IMHO the ratings given by the reviewer are harsh and based on hearsay rather than experience.

Their piss-porr customer service I have experienced hands on from the installer saying that my signal will be bad due to too many splits outside until they fixed the problem...over a month and thats FACT. Another FACT, they have all but outlawed p2p, completely banning you from uploading. Granted you can get away with it still but only to a point and of course they won't tell you what that point, that limit is.
Conclusion: My ratings are justified and they are MY opinions. Notice I did give 5 stars for value since you can't beat the price at half the speed.

As for my own 2 shinies, i gotz da OOL and have never had an issue worth spittin bout. sometimes upload couple hundred MByte bulks bursts for few minutes, but only as client FTP pushes.
never had a speed cap problem.
so can't complain, right now my upload is faster than most of my friends' download speeds (even if they have broadband).
and personally i think you really can't blame an ISP too much for trying to discourage bandwidth abusers. if we had a whole network of users upping umpteen TERABYTES/month (each?), the quality of the line'd sink so quick. perhaps, in fact be similar to any typical cable provider. | |

| Good speeds, wack terms of service Well I got capped by OptOnline. I went from 1Mbit to 150kbits.
From what I heard, You can't upload constantly.
I mean, I pay for the damn shit so it should be up to me how I'm going to use my bandwidth.
If I get a better job I will get a T-1 line.
Unlimited, steady, 1.544Mbit both ways.
