| insightbb, but not so happy I too have insightbb and for the past 4 days performance has been about 1/10th of what it normally is. Sometimes it is slower than a 56K modem. Many people in town are having problems, Insight is very aware of it, and 4 days later they still apparently haven't had anyone from AT&T come out and diagnose the problem (AT&T being the provider of their connection) I'd think once 1 day passed and the in-house network people couldn't discover the problem, they'd phone AT&T and run a load of diagnostics until the problem was diagnosed. After all, there is a whole slew of customers having problems here...
Overall, I've been happy with insightbb, but I don't think that their turnaround time on problems is as good as @HOME was. When they were with @HOME, a problem would be resolved in 1 day or less. | |

You could always try to take your issue. To a higher level of management. If this is an ongoing issue. That doesn't seem to be getting resolved. But keep in mind. Sometimes trouble shooting an issue. Can take time. And sometimes equipment etc needs upgraded. But I would agree. That a process should be in place. To do all this. As fast & easy as possible. -- *IGGYZ* *TeamZ* | |

| You must also realize that Insight Communcations paid 10 million dollars and took a bite and no profit for one month so service could stay live with @home before the conversion in September. InsightBB.com was forged, created, and put to live in about 6 weeks. Of course after we went live we needed to iron out the details, while still provoding excellent customer service and support to everyone in and on the InsightBB.com network.

| Re: insightbb, but not so happy Always on Broadband Connection & Speed is very important issue to us users here at insightbb. The internet has given us email, references, entertainment....etc. It's almost like having car, house, and phone issue problems in it's importance. It's really amazing that the internet has become a very important part of my everyday life. Having broadband cable out is almost like having no electricity in importance. I know all the dedicated employees knows this and all try providing excellent customer service and support to everyone in and on the InsightBB.com network. | |

| I am from erlanger and found these reviews and I am astonished and baffled.
People here are COMPLAINING of being able to upload at 128k? Maybe I missed something, but, I cannot achieve much over 20k/s here.
People say that insightbb is putting @home to shame, but with @home I could at least get 80k upload. I don't want to run a home server or much of that nature but when exchanging files I use for my video projects through friends, it can take quite some time if I can only upload at 20k max.
If it's a good day maybe I will get up to 40k/s. The service goes down nightly still, and if it doesn't it drops to around 40k/s down and 10k/s up. I am very unsatisfied but don't want to go to the Zoomtown ADSL offered due to their slow speed (it never goes down but you are very limited). If anyone knows any other ISP's that are reliable and affordabe in the Northern Kentucky area I would appreciate the information replied in this thread or to my email: jamundsen@trishock.com
The reviews from illinois seem much more pro-insightBB but I would say you should look around first if you are near me. | |

I have a friend in Kentucky, not to mention any names, around your area and when we are passing files back and forth the speeds are horrible. I can indeed feel your pain, and hope this is resolved. | |
