Let's see:•LocalISP: 640/90 kbps, $49 per month.•Optimum Online: 8500/950 kbps, $34-39 per month. You don't want 10 times the speed for less money just for the sake of a static IP address? OOL IP addresses rarely change (I've had the same one since I power-cycled my modem at the end of March), and you can use facilities like dyndns.org to do automatic domain name look-ups for your "dynamic" IP.
But, hey, it's a free country.
