Uhhhh...NO

I think that is WAY to much to be paying for just upload. And the download isnt all that great either. WOW offers 4mb down/500 up for 65 and change and is just as good, speakeasy used to be here in Cleveland and then they ran off for some reason, and jacked up the prices. I have no clue why but what can ya say. Broadband is broadband, if you got the dough...go for it

Good to hear

I'm guessing this is the only option you have for paying that much for speeds? Also is this just for residential or commercial use for those kind of speeds?
Thanks

Pay for 6/768. receive only 3/768?

I have a fairly good understanding of DSL, but I cannot see paying for 6/768 when I only get 3/768. I'm sure that Speakeasy wishes that I could understand that, but I don't so I am going with a provider that delivers what I pay for.

Update 7/30/04

I have moved, and the service in my new place is great. I had the 6.0/768 package installed, but after a few weeks I started to lose sync horribly. SE ran an MLT, and we found out I was 15,000' away....not 7,500' as originally thought!! That makes quite a difference. Fortunately my noise margins are clean enough that I can maintain 3.0/768 quite well.

I'm still 100% satisfied with their service. I understand DSL enough to not bitch that I'm paying for 6.0/768 while only getting 3.0. I only wish some others did...

Re: Pay for 6/768. receive only 3/768?

Speakeasy originally rolled out the 3/768 and have since turned up the circuits to 6/768 without increasing price. Before speaking up, do research.

Re: You're paying for 6 Mbit , getting 3 Mbit?

Actually I have had a different experience, I paid for 6/768 and got bumped down to 3/768. Now you do your own research before speaking up.
