| Re: Better alternative Agree. If anyone should go to court, it should be D&B against Ardent for turning over a bunch of fraudulent claims. It appears, like Ardent's auto email/tel response, Ardent says everyone is delinquent. Ardent's accounting was so screwed up that the company couldn't keep track of who paid what so the company simply declared everyone else at fault. | |

| Re: Better alternative I too agree. Ardent/Cais's billing system was completely screwed up. I know a couple of people who had 2+ years of internet service and NEVER received a bill. Then there were people who never got service, but received bill after bill. No wonder they are broke. Are they still in business? I thought they sold the network? | |

| Re: Better alternative I am on the court mailing list for the Ardent bankruptcy. According to the filings, they sold all the ongoing business, T1 custs, IP blocks, core network, and co-lo facilities to "Beyond the Net" which I think is an ISP from Asia. All the Cisco equipment such as routers is going back to Cisco or being auctioned off.
The information they have published seems to indicate that Ardent will no longer exist as a company after the sale. They have no customers, so no income, except for maybe the back money owed by customers. Any money gained that way is likely to go to creditors anyway, so in effect this is a dissolution of the company. Hard to see how they can reorganize and go back into business without a core network. The name Ardent/CAIS has no future value for marketing, sort of like Enron or Worldcom or ValuJet. | |
