| Come join us... ...in the Ameritech forum. You'll have lots of company with that "ramp-up" cap and we need someone from Peoria to keep us informed about the service there.
By the way, this ramp-up thing is new and they are doing a very poor job of implementing it.

| Yep, same thing with me Yeah, I've had my DSL service going since Monday (July 26). My ISP is DirecTV DSL but they are going through Ameritech as they are the local telco. I signed up for 768/128 and am only getting about the same speeds as you (~320/120). I called tech support and after several tests they sent me to 2nd tier support and said they'd probably get Ameritech to come out and check the line. As of yesterday, same speed. Then I read the comments here about the initial cap and I'm hoping that is what is happening to me. I hope to see improved speeds in 10 days too. | |

| Bad news. Since you are DTVDSL there is no mechanism for automatically increasing your speed cap(s). If you are capped below the 768/128 level, it's due to DTVDSL placing the order at that level (i.e. 192-384/128) and not at the normal 384-768/160. Furthermore, if for some reason it won't work at 768 then they deny (cancel) the order rather than try it at a lower speed.
So...DTVDSL will have to place another order with ASI to get your speeds up.
Blame this one on the lawyers. Evidently someone at DTVDSL made a stink about the ramp-up process.
