cable going out?

Only issue I have is with cable/internet combined. What do I do if I can't watch tv OR play on the computer when the cable goes out.

Having been on the cable internet since December 1998 you have a valid point there, it does occasionally (not too often thankfully) do that. This is why I have no interest in using cable for my phone when it becomes available!

If, and when, phone does become available I will definitely stick with POTS. But sooner or later the twisted pair is going to be replaced by something. Hopefully as reliable as POTS is now.
