| Need Help Please Maybe you can tell me why i am having problems getting through to xbox with my comcast cable modem it say it cannot find the ip address and dns server and all that. The thing is i was just using it saturday when i picked it up and sunday and now i can't get back on through the cable modem

| Charges for Failed Self Installs As an employee of Comcast, tech support, I can explain that for you. If you purchase a self install kit, and you cannot get a signal to your modem, it is considered a failed self install. For a failed self install, there is normally a one time charge. Not sure why, but it explains it a little better | |

| looking at Comcast Workplace MY concerns are 1 the price $100 is too much.
All I need is 5 static IPs,nothing else.
Second no contracts, i don't like to be tight up to a contract.
I can self install, that is basically connect it, and register the mac id with tech support.
I don't like the installation cd, because of the added software.
A fair price would be $60 with the modem included. | |
