| More bs from (no)Waymark
Yesterday morning they post a message on their website that DSL which has been out for the last 7 days will be restored by COB Wednesday. Two hours later they post a message that DSL service will be restored by COB Thursday. Now they post a message saying DSL has been restored but their Worldcom connection is experiencing problems. The CEO recently sent a letter to all Verizion DSL subscribers placing blame on Worldcom. I wonder who he blames his company's poor customer service on? Funny, he didn't mention that. Do yourself a favor, take your business elsewhere.

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. Waymark has a 30-day notice requirement for cancellation, which may be the reason that you got charged an extra month. However, since you are an ex-DirectLink customer, you probably never received binding notice of the change in policy or otherwise agreed to it.
If that's the case, be sure to explain this to your credit card company. That's what settled the issue when I was trying to get credit for the unused months on my annual contract.

| I filed with the BBB on Waymark Internet In March of 2002 DSL became available in my area, I signed up with Waymark Internet services. I have done business with Waymark for the last five years and this allowed me to continue with the same email account information.
In the Sign up process I had to first give payment for what is called a broadband modem, I signed a letter with my banking account information to be deducted from my checking account. After this was done I received the broadband modem and DSL service. Two Months later I was informed that they have not received payment for the modem, I talked to Waymark by phone informing them of the letter and re gave the information over the phone, everything seemed ok. This January my account was canceled, and I called and was informed they have not received payment for services in December, Waymark changed the way they sent billing from mail to email notice, I asked if I could have my account billing done by US postal service and not email and was told yes and gave information to pay my account balance for December and January by credit card, a charge in the area of 128 dollars and change. I was told that my account would be turned on and that that I could use dial up until DSL service was restored. This never happened and later in the day I called back and was informed they did not have payment for the DSL modem, I explained that I have gave payment and would fax them the information in two days when I have had time to get the information from my bank and have a fax machine in which to give them the information. Image my shock the next day when I went to my bank and found out that Waymark had charged my visa account not the 128 but 277.17 and another transaction or 214.34, neither of the amounts I authorized. When I called about this I was transferred to someone named Todd and was told that I had given him authorization for both charges and he cited the letter I had sent in March of 2002 for a draft from my checking account. I did not have the Visa account he processed the payments on until June of 2002 so I am not sure how he could have a letter authorizing payment on that account.
At this time I felt I have no recourse but to cancel service with them. I have been told they are not canceling and not turning it on but they are going to keep it on hold and not release the DSL signal used for 30 days. By doing this the signal can not be used for another DSL service to be used. I have done everything they have asked to get the service to pay for the service and now find myself being punished by them.
I do not dispute the amount I authorized for payment for December and January or 128 but this amount was never charged to my account.
I do Dispute the charges of my Visa account of 277.17 and 214.34 as I never authorized this transaction.
I also dispute a letter dated in March of 2002 to be used in January of 2003 to be used to charge another account some ten months letter. The letter he stated he had is a letter I sent with information for a one time check by phone charge in which I gave a specific check number for a one time transaction.
I want the charges I did not authorize removed. I want them to move my account from hold to cancel so the signal can be used by another DSL provider, I do not want to be held hostage by Waymark. The charge that I did authorize for services for December and January changed to reflect charges for December only. I am not getting service for January and do not feel I should be charged for this.
