You might now feel that your service is OK , How ever , In the @home time we had TWICE the speed at 1/3 the cost.
There where almost NO connection problems as thay where up most all the time.
Service was done localey and the tecs lived and worked in my home town.
Now that it is a MediaComm . My cost is now $50 and my band with is cut in half.
If all you care about is Web Serfing then be happy. How ever most customers I know also injoy On Line games.
The new system Sucks !
I have played the same game on the same server for 4 years.
I use to use dial up and had a ping of around 170 .
With @home I conected at 20 CONSTANTLY !
Now on a good day I conect at around 40 .
That might sound good however a good day comes along about one time every 2 weeks and craps out around 8 pm.
My normal conection now is around 200 and I have to consider that good.
To be hounest the only reason I have not returned to my old dial up is that the down loads speed is still high enough.
I gess the days of playing On Line are just about over. | |

That's not even what I care about anyways. 128kb/s upload??? Pathetic. 500-1000ms latencies? Even more pathetic. | |

| Defending mediacom? Except the actual download speeds that we are getting are anywhere from 1/2 to 1/5 of what we used to get...who cares what you advertise. The worst part is probably the upload...we are charded $50 a month for 128 mb upload? Thats less than 1/10 of what I would get with At@t. Mediacom sucks...get DSL. | |
