this isn't a broadband report

this guy is a storefront user at our internet cafe. and, he is right, we expect you to read our contract before agreeing to it as you are bound by its terms.

since this is not a dsl or other broadband report, i am emailing the moderator to have it removed.

Beannet won't respond to cc or Better Business Bur

Hey Matthew,

Why won't you provide the credit card company with proof
that I authorized the charge? Could it be because the last
time I gave you authorization was for a one month charge in November 2001.

Also, why has the Better Business Bureau not heard from you? Could it be because you know you are wrong? Or are at least skating on the edge of what is right and wrong?

Beannet will fight over $50, vs help cust

If the person who started Beannet is fighting me
over $50 that they already have. Can you imagine
how many people needing help with DSL problems
and installation problems are out there waiting.
Think about it, the president's time is better spent
dealing with Ameritech, etc

This guy has gone back and forth with me about
at least a dozen times. Think about it. How
profitable are they really, if they are fighting
a storefront customer who paid in full before
even receiving service and they want more money
for the same month?

If you were the president of a big DSL company would you
fight a customer for $50 or would you delegate it? Think that's bad? I have the CEO and General Counsel emailing me
too! Unbelievable.

Re: here is foley's bill

Matthew,

"he has been shown that his cash payment was applied and refuses to read the statement. "

Yes I see my cash was applied for August AND my credit card was charged for August. Two payments for ONE month.

Who cares whether it is storefront or DSL service I received. The point is that you (Beannet) gave me something I did not ask for. I asked for a one month surf pass and paid in cash. What you did was to go around me and my request and put a charge on my credit card from a 10 month old transaction (a different transaction) that I had done with you. You and your attorney CEO should know better.

Bottom line is how Beannet as a company acts. I mean if I get crappy service buying underwear at Walmart are they going to say that does not affect people who are buying an office chair? Waltmart is Walmart, Beannet is Beannet.

certainly, mr. foley

the reason you have gotten responses from me on the same question many times over is because we care about our customers. we also care about our stakeholders, and will protect our ability to enforce the contracts we set forth to the best of our ability, each and every day.

that is what it takes to be a profitable company amidst a downturn as this industry has seen.

Re: certainly, mr. foley

Sure you like to help the customer right? Yeah you "help" them out of their money and INVADE their financial privacy under the guise of your hidden terms. Then you say ha ha you should have read the contract. Listen Matt, you know what I requested for service, my receipt shows it, and it proves that you want more than what I truly agreed to.

I paid $49.95 cash
you charged my credit card $49.95 for the same month and proceeded to charge it again after I told you to stop. Then you finally pulled the 2nd charge and left the first one on there.

Hey, Discover card and the Better Business Bureau are waiting for your reply. Why won't you respond to them??????
