Just a Curiosity

I just wanted to know what kind of bandwidth do you get cause you said "usenet server throttled at 220Kbps (really no big deal)". I just like to know what bandwidth for money you getting because if you are getting 1500, then that would not matter anyways. Just curious.
Thanks

Re: Just a Curiosity

I'm glad you are happy with the service but a week long outage hurt me in the pocketbook. I used my connection to VPN to work and other useful activities that helped me earn a living.

I would have been happy if they had a redundant circuit. But I left for another ISP who does value redundancy and less is expensive to boot! $34 less per month!

Servers are violation of Waymark's AUP

It sounds like you are a former DirectLink customer, like I was. DirectLink permitted "personal-use" servers, but after I had already renewed for another year with Waymark, I found that their TOS prohibited it:

Use of ANY Internet Server Software (including but not limited to SMTP, POP, HTTP, FTP, etc...) is strictly prohibited on dial-up and DSL residential services. User ID's and passwords are intended for use solely by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for any activity that occurs over their connection.

That's why I was already looking for a new ISP. The 7-day outage just accelerated my switch.
