haha on the contrary

i know a guy in nj, like you, who runs quite a few off his OOL connection. ping is pretty good, and downloads are fast too. just change ye olde port number

OOL is now actively tracking upload throughput regardless of port and are sending new config files to the modems of OOL users they suspect of using servers...without any notification or warning. They cut their 1Mb upload speeds to 150kbps.

There is no doubt they OOL is enforcing their no server rule.

look dlink is not good with cable go with lykseys my cuz is close by u dlink gave him probs so he tryed lyk and than when he had router 8000/987 without it the speeds hit the cap

Get a new Router

Just upgraded from SB3100 to SB5100 and following the advice of the OOL forum I got a new Linksys NR041 (four port router) for less than 50 bucks. Now I get 8000/950......

Horrible Service

Dont forget there horrible tech support and if something goes wrong it takes months to fix it if they even decide to fix it.
Plus they have bad speed during the day and i cant even hit 80% of advertised speeds at 3 am which shows they oversold the nod but they refuse to believe it.

OOL SUCKS WORSE THAN 2 MB DSL AND IS LESS STABLE TOO !!
