I have seen this as well

I have also seen a decrease in speed. First 2 days I had service I was over 3000 then from there I have gone down to 2500 to 2700. I wonder why

Shared Bandwidrh

On cable internet service...you can expect speeds to decrease because everyone around you is sharing the same bandwidth. So the more people that are hooked up the slower the speeds!

InsightBB in the LaGrange area

11/12/06 - First off I am not affiliated with Insight. I just want to inform the other folks having problems in my area since the recent network upgrade. I spoke with a service rep today and this is what I was told: During the recent upgrade there was a problem at the Westport KY server. Due to this very slow d/l & u/l speeds will be experienced. Insight is aware of it and is working on it.

This is just more BS. After 6 years of their excuses, I outsourced our entire IT business to Blue Ash, Ohio. I threw in the towel on Insight and got BellSouth DSL. You bet it is a lot slower, but it hasn't been off for more than a few seconds in three months. At one time, I had almost 60 service calls in to Insight in a 12 month period. If you want to hear an unbiased opinion in Oldham Cty, call the County Judge's office and tell them your issues with Insight. The first thing they will tell you is that they have had so many complaints that they are advising callers to hook up to BellSouth DSL.
