That's some b.S. I've had 7 tech's 4 modems, 4 computers, and they still wont admit that they need to replace a laser card in the node, or they need more bandwidth at the headend. The word on the street is, Salt Lake it getting a new headend to denver, soemthing like "replacing an oc3 with and oc12" they say that should open up the pipeline, let more bandwidth through. Supposedly gona happen on the 23rd. But god oh mighty, if that doesn't fix this problem, I'm goin' Postal. It's been 4 months of this crap. I run a speed test from this site and I get 300kbits THATS ONLY 40 KBYTES! that sux! and that is when it's GOOD! when it's bad I have clocked my pc speed at www.bandwidthspeedtest.com I got 21.7 Kbits!!! A MODEM DOES 56.6!!!! I have a frined who lives just east of me one and a half blocks, same south. The line that feeds to me, he feeds off of as well. He will spike at 600-900 sometimes and he has a top of the line machine, just got the new asus333. NO WAY THE PC IS CAUSIN THIS LAG. BUT THEY WONT ADMIT IT. HORRID SERVICE |
