Just wanted to comment on "The tech support people are scripted, and sometimes aren't too keen to deviate from the script". You hit the nail on the head when you said that, and the reason why they are not too keen in deviating from the script is because they can't... they can lose their job if they do not follow it to a T. They have a listening centre that record all their calls and actually rates them. This is not just for Sympatico, but even other depts at Bell, listen carefully, and you will hear the exact same script from 310-bell and even other depts of Bell and even other companies are using this script. One thing is for sure though... most employees at Bell are very courteous and will do everything in their power to help you or get to you to someone who can help you. | |

| No outages, I'm over two years with Sympatico. I called tech support once, I was afread I was going to be charged with Ultra when my speeds increased to 180 from 120, then tech said everyone got a free upgrade. Took me 2 minutes to get to tech support...that was great. Then this last spring I was upgraded to 2.5 meg (3008 sync), this time, however, about a month later I got a letter stating that I was upgraded for free. At the end of this 12 month contract, I signed on for another 12 months that saves me $10 bucks a month.
•Not once has the service been down or has slowed from advertised speeds...in over two years Now, that is sweet.:D
Bell Sympatico has been great, only way I would change is if someone could give me a huge discount with NO modem charge. And have the same reliability, but, after being with Rogers, I know that with cable that is impossible. | |
