| Inaccurate statement To say that Comcast can charge what they want is an inaccurate statement. The FCC regulates CATV operators and what rates they can charge for services. The bottom line is that Cable companies do not own all the channels they broadcast and have to pay hefty sums for many of them. As these channels raise their rates to the Cable operator,they in turn raise their rates. But this is only one of many reasons they raise their rates due to circumstance's beyond their control.It may seem unfair to you, but it's a business not a charity. It is also inaccurate to say they have no competition as there are several Dish companies and the always FREE networks available via antenna.

| Re: Inaccurate statement Zoinks is right, I also use comcast, in New Jersey, And have never had a problem with them. In the beginning when they first became an ISP they did have their quirks, Upgrading and what not. I have had comcast for about 3 years now and have had absolutly no problems except for one instance where I lost my connection and I called them and they said they were down for upgrades. Thier connection has been great and their customer service has been very helpful. I also know about Tier 2 and have only once had to goto them for help. Maybe you're just an exception sir who has had many problems with them. Maybe you were doing something wrong I have no clue but every once in a blue moon do i need to contact customer support I can usually figure out what is wrong. | |
