Advertising? Where?

You mention in the "thumbs up, down" area, unending advertising? Where are you getting the advertisements, you complain about them but don't mention it in the review itself? I have been with comcast for a while and I have received one email from them, welcoming me to the service but that is all.

I am referring to their comcast.net portal page. If we already subscribe, why must we be bombarded with advertising? Their whole portal page is one giant ad. They should take some notice to OOL home page: little advertising and information that is useful!

News group cap

You want more bandwidth and newsgroup access talk to GIGANEWS, they are the newsgroup provider to comcast. The company has nothing to do with the newsgroups.

I understand that..but I was used to unlimited newsgroup usage in the past. However, it is now a moot point since most forums are now found on the web. I don't need the newsgroups at this point..

I had been aching for more UL speed myself. Then, they launched powerboost on the upload side here and my mouth is now shut on the matter.



Do you not have it where you are?

hi there.

NO! where are you? Don't forget, I live in VT which is one of the most rural and least populated states in the nation. We only got Comcast this past November (they had to dig almost half a mile to my home from the road for the cable to reach its access point here at the house)

We get things last here...I am sure upload will increase soon.

Haha!! If you only could see the area in PA that I live in! There is broadband via Comcast in areas that you wouldn't even think had electricity.

The system is based in Williamsport, but there are MANY surrounding areas where the population is not exactly condensed.

Powerboost is alive and well here, as you can see, so I am sure you'll get it at some point.
