SOrry to hear your misfortune

This is typical when an WISP over subscribes his system? last I heard they were going to a T-3 or OS3 or something like that when I saw them at the mall but seems like speeds over there was kind of slow as well. Well Let me know if things dont work out I have just started my own wisp and will be firing one of the main AP's this morning / afternoon let me know and I can swing buy and see if I can reach you. I Guarantee this will NOT happen with my service as I will not over subscribe beyond what a T-1 is supposed to be I look at the stats and then order, more lines as needed.
Thanks

Re: SOrry to hear your misfortune

Thanks for the update. I have not heard anyone Guarantee that will not happen. I will be in touch to see what you have to offer in the next week or so. I am still waiting for that phone call? Probably won't happen but I will give it a try.

Thanks,

Re: hispeedwireless.com

Do you guys guarantee speeds? I was/am paying $39/month for Topline (now Aerosurf) and nothing was under 1000/1000 anytime of the day and no limits? Do you offer the same service and price? How many users do you put on your T1's? I looked at your price list and it looks like you are $99 for less service (900/?) than I have at $39? What is you down/ups speeds or is this both? How far up in Wildomar do you go? I am north of Clinton Keith and West of the 15. At this point I am already starting to lose my mind over this. I can only log on at work and this is NOT kewl! I am looking for a company that will step up to the plate with Guaranties not just talk? I am going to ask around about your service this week also.

Thanks,

LG

Re: hispeedwireless.com

please see the email sent to you. for clarification, the uploads are 128 kbs. Hispeedwireless has special pricing for anyone switching from Topline who owns their equipment. Hispeedwireless has have worked with Aerosurf to help many customers in the past to find good alternatives to broadband with regards to line of sight situations. Speeds will vary with any system. the most stable connection is a T-1 hardwired to your house. The cost however is crazy. so...in order 1. no 2. varies on type of customers. 3. 300/128 is the bronze package. 4. Baxter road is the cut-off depending on line of sight.

Re: hispeedwireless.com

Hi again,

I guess I don't see the big picture here? You want me to look into your service (Bronze 300/128) and replace it with mine (700/700 advertised) for the same money and you say there is still no guarantee of what I will get? That is less then half the speed on down and less then one quarter the speed on up! This is what I originally complained about with Aerosurf (SLOW SPEEDS). The other issue is I have still not got an answer as to how many users you put on your T1's and do you have multiple? How many? Like I said before I mostly EBAY so this should not be an issue EVER!. I never download music , Games, or movies etc. Please let me know what I am missing here?

Re: hispeedwireless.com

if you are truly getting 700/700 for 39.95 then stay with it...we do have more than one T1. We can and do move as the need arises. If 128 kbs upload isn't enough then a commercial account is needed. We offer custom quotes specific to your needs. Posting to Ebay is not something that requires tons of bandwidth... but for 700/700 at 39.95...no can do..sorry

We do guarantee satisfaction... advertised speeds are "peak" and speed test arent always reliable because they average the throughput and can also be congested or even a router along the way can cause problems. Some sites will provide higher results than what a person signed up for. Some less. The most reliable so far seem to be here at www.dslreports.com using LA or Megapath for west coast test and I have tried them all.....pcpitstop has very erratic stats..the upload likes to hang.....bandwidthplace is ok for download....no upload...you are always welcome to visit our office and even bring your laptop for a test. Honestly it sounds as if you will not be happy with anything less than your previous setup..understandable......but Top line is out of business for that reason...too good to be true.

LG also keep in mind since you seem to do a lot of E-bay transactions etc that you make sure that whatever service you go with (aerosurf, hispeedwireless, blazen wireless) that you ask them how secure their network is? most I have seen dont have any protection against prying eyes that want to sniff the packets being transmitted to and from their access point so any one with a simple tool like netstumbler and packet sniffing software can sit and see info that you transmit including your "secure transactions" This is why even the most basic security like WEP is turned on.
I have WEP turned on as well as some other protection features on my system that I cant discuss to help prevent just such a thing from happening. Some claim they have WEP turned on but in reality they dont. Just a little heads up in security.
FYI my ap is up and running if you IM me with your info I will gladly stop on by and verify you can receive our signal. I also dont sell the cheap USB modem radios that limit you to one computer, and I will Guarantee you a minimum speed no matter what plan you choose.

Re: WWW.BLAZENWIRELESS.COM

As Lone_Gunman, I am with Aerosurf because at the time they were the only show on the road here in Temecula's Temeku Hills. After numerous delays on putting a new tower up, they finally installed the USB Modem Radio. I must say that the first month went well with speeds of 1000 kb/s all the time. Then all hell broke loss. I started to monitor my upload and download speeds and found that they were degrading about 10% per week to the current 144kb/s down and approx. 45kb/s up. I sent numerous e-mails and voicemails (because you can't talk to a live person if your life depended on it) and they agreed to have a tech call me. They came out and replaced the Radio and that was it. I still had numerous problems with getting a signal and download and upload speeds like before. It almost appears they're growing to fast. For me it's my livelyhood, because I telecommute to Maryland and have had to take 3 trips in the last 4 weeks because I can't get a reliable service. I pay the $50.00 per month for service that is really no better then ISDN. If anyone can offer suggestions without breaking the bank, I'm all ears. E-mail Address: Tunnell@nucusa.com (Keep it off my aerosurf e-mail account). Thanks, Carl

Re: WWW.BLAZENWIRELESS.COM

has your speed issue been resolved? I am thinking about switching from ISDN to this service..

wISP in PA

@f-tech.net

no better, no worse

DSL customers have the same gripes, so do cable.

Face it, are you really expecting DS-3 speeds for $40/mo?

Cable/DSL etc are not going to be able to sustain 1+mb to the home, and MANY if not ALL DSL/Cable operators are capping speeds, and charging per bit.

wISPs are trying to make the same promises as cable, but look at the boards... all have Happy/Mad customers.

Re: no better, no worse

Not True, but 300K is hardly broadband but, it is as 256K is the starting limit but come on 300K for 40/Month? look at those FTTH users getting 10MB/s up and down and it doesnt look like there going anywhere anytime soon. DS3 speeds are not 1MB/s there 45MB/s so you cannot compare it. maybe a T1.

Moving to Murrieta next month....

Near Whitewood and Los Alamos just east of the 215. Was informed Saturday that the cable/phone providers are Adelphia/Verizon and was quite bummed. I'm spoiled here in Orange County with Cox usually getting 2800/280 or so. Great service. I'm an online gamer and need good pings to the servers. Called Aero yesterday and wasn't that impressed with the girl that tried to answer my questions.

What does it take to get your own T1 and set it up? Even if it costs a couple thousand, it's something I would consider to get a great connection. I don't care. This house is brand new and am spending tons on everything so a few more thousand for a connection would be fine with me. The house has structured wiring with Cat-5 in every room.

Bottom line is that I need RELIABLE, fast service. Do any of you, HONESTLY, offer that? If so, I'll be a customer. If not, I'll have to look for something else.

Thanks, Todd

I *FEEL* your pain.

Ugh... I know just how you feel. I hope to god blazenwireless is for real, and not just a flash in the pan.

I think I need to file another report like this one. I have almost the same exact thing to say, though I have always been on aerosurf.

Since signing on, they've been extremely open and helpful with me. I believe them that they are bringing up a DS3 (45Mbit) to handle their oversubscription. The problem is, they seem to have no idea what it takes to keep things running on a consistent basis.

Honestly, I could care less about download speed. As long as I have 256kbit down, I'm happy enough. I run webservers, and email servers, on my connection though. I need them to at least be up .. I dunno.... 80% of the time! I've had periods where my connection was down for 10+ hours without so much as an acknowledgement from them.

Honestly, I know what to expect when I'm paying $90/month for "business class" access. The problem is, they've gone way below what I think most of their customers are expecting.

Take note other WISP's... we can handle dips in bandwidth. But keep the connection up!

Re: I *FEEL* your pain.

Yes we are for real and I plan on giving the best support available and at least calling you back with in a timely manor not 2 weeks later to give a status if something is broke and cant be fixed quick even if it is down for a short period you can always call and get one of us or leave a message and we will call back within 15-20 mins if we are not to busy trying to get things fixed. There are some things that could happen such as a the whole backbone going down which is beyond our control but that’s why our backend service gives us an SLA. There could be a power outage for an extended period of time?

Drop me a note if you have not already at our website »www.blazenwireless.com and we will come out and give you a quote on the business aspect of your needs.

Basically it all boils down to what you pay for. All the real high end WISPS charge more for business for a reason better reliability better equipment etc. The $90 plan you are paying for now is more for residential, but I am not one to bag on others I just like to make my business flourish and hopefully you will be along for the ride as a happy customer of mine.

Met with Blazen Owner....

Very nice guy! I'm building a house in Murrieta which should be complete within the month. I'll have power in about two weeks and have Blazen come out and demo. The owner, Martin, is a great guy and seems very knowledgeable, and is very customer service oriented. I'll report back the results after the demo.

Felt your Pain - moved to ATTBI

I read your review about your endless phone calls and lack of response. I posted to a message AeroSurf posted below. They have *got* to either change the person answering the phone or educate her enough to field basic questions. I do feel bad though, she takes the calls but they have a very poor system of returning tech and problem calls. All she can do is take the message but if no one returns the call, what else can she do?

Bad customer service is my pet-peeve and having suffered at the hands of AeroSurf, I do really feel your pain!!!

Good Luck.

BTW - high speed and Blazen - kinda tacky to advertise so blatantly don't you think????

Re: Felt your Pain - moved to ATTBI

Why is that blatant we are trying to service the needs of customers asking for a better solution? I just replied to the post that were here already. Ultimately its the customer who decides who to use for their service. ABC company my company your company what does it matter as long as the service is good and priced right.
IN fact there is a place to advertise on this website under find service and to be quite honest I have signed up about 15-20 people who saw our ad on this site. Aerosurf advertises on here why cant anyone else? anyways its a mute point I am just here to provide good service at a reasonable price.

Well, I thought this was a forum for the users to educate each other. If there is an advertisement section, then that's fine but don't you think that the value of user opinions will be compromised if people have to try and weed out end-user opinions from advertisements? I'm not angry about it but it just seems a bit pushy unless maybe you have a notice in your posts explaining who you are as proper etiquette.
